On this website under the Stamp Art tab you can read about my hero Donald Evans.  His art in this genre is the best as far as I am concerned.  Living in Europe, especially Holland during his later years he enjoyed seeing Douwe Egberts Coffee because the initials DE reminded him of his own.  Indeed there it is near the center of the label. When I was in Holland a couple of years ago — I found a couple of racks of it for sale in a grocery store…..  I smiled —  ” Hi Donald…..I thought “.  It is sorta of like when I hear a train whistle in the distance — it reminds me of my deceased dad who worked on the Union Pacific RR for years — I think it is him saying  ” Hi from your dad……  hope you are doing ok…..”
