I started this painting some years ago when I worked as the Desolation Peak Fire Lookout.  The ” shack ” as Jack Kerouac would say — has an incredible view to the west of Ross Lake far below and then the North Cascades to the horizon…… N O C A in the address line is an abbreviation in the National Park System for North Cascades National Park  ( NOrth CAscades )
