Domino – 40 Oxygen

This is another stamp I did to commemorate my 40th birthday.  I was born 6 weeks premature — thus the Express Stamp sticker. And I made up a cancellation for the event — I was born in Spokane, Washington on 10-30-50.  The address refers to the fact that I needed supplemental oxygen to breathe the first few days and was in an oxygen tent. In the 1950s this resulted in damage called retrolental fibroplasia and caused blindness in babies.  I escaped that but the irony is that my dad had a hereditary disease ( choroideremia ) which left him blind in his 50s.  I can’t imagine not being able to see — it gives m
