M:11 – Tree
COUNTRY:
M11
DESIGN:
Out in Georgian Bay, a pervasive symbol of the ferocity of the winters are all the solitary leaning pine trees clinging hard to barren rounded island rock just inches above the waterline. Long tough tough winters. Tom Thomson, a Canadian painter has a well known painting titled ” Pine Island ” that shows leaning trees in Georgian Bay.
MAILED:
not yet, I need to get back to Georgian Bay…..hopefully soon…… but Georgian Bay Fishing Camp where we stayed has closed for good. It was perfect out on there on Fox Islands near the mouth of the French river.
