Motu – Breadfruit
COUNTRY:
Motu
DESiGN:
Breadfruit was the basis of the voyage that resulted in the Mutiny on the Bounty saga. Bligh and company were transporting breadfruit from Tahiti to the West Indies when the mutiny occurred.
It has a pebbly surface kinda of like a basketball but here it looks like the paint showing that rubbed off.
I tasted it in Aitutaki in the Cook Islands one time and it was pretty good. I don’t remember it tasting like bread though. Uru is a Polynesian name for breadfruit.
