Motu – Conch

This pigeon of a conch shell was the distinction of being the one that took the longest to get home…. as you can see from Andrea’s notation on the back — it was mailed in January 2001.  The Warners were on a fishing trip to Christmas Island for bonefish.  And I received it here in Bellingham 10 months later.
Not sure what took it so long nor why is got so soiled but I was sure glad to see the bird fly in.
