COUNTRY:
Motu

DESIGN:
Sometimes you are lucky, sometimes not so much.  In this case my family and I were on vacation with friends in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific.  There was classic scenery everywhere…. and each evening the billowing cumulous clouds would turn the quiet soft pink colors.  So I painted a pigeon and slide it into the mailbox in Avarua.  When I got back home — it showed up one day with the whole painting obliterated with the postmark………and to top it off —  they left the $4.20 legal stamp of the Bounty mutiny — untouched !

MAILED:
by me in Avarua, Rarotonga in 2002
