Pau – Cane Haul Road

DESiGN:
When I lived in Hawai, there was a line of home made T shirts under the name of Cane Haul Road.  They were well done and it didn’t have a slick commercial quality that made them endearing to me.  As mentioned — I painted 5 over there including this one. Here it is as I got it back from Hawaii when we got home.  Notice that the envelope was not cancelled.  It may have just slipped thru– but I think maybe it was pulled for inspection and the post office in Kihei chose not risking defacing it.  I expected a cancel but am flattered that it didn’t happen : )
Cane haul roads were cut thru the cane fields to load up the cane on trucks to take to the mill.
