Our Friends, Jack and Joann Bowman let us stay in their cabin on Lummi Island several times a year.  It looks down on Hale’s Passage where the Lummi Indians set their crabpots —  the pot is tied to a buoy that floats at the surface.  The colors / markings on the buoy indicate the owner.
