Steens – God’s Ink Pad

I was out on the Alford Playa again–this time chasing a model airplane way to the east side.  This made the Steens range just nudge the horizon.  I looked up from my chase and was amazed.  It looked like God had put his thumb on a pink inkpad and then smudged the sky in a few places.  I just stood there –transfixed–until it faded to gray.
Very nice how the legal stamp shows an owl peeking out of the cactus waiting for night and seeing that the sunset in almost done…….
