11-27-18 The painting in the 11-24 post is one I started up at the Desolation Peak Lookout in the North Cascades of Washington State some years back when I worked there for a week for the Park Service. It is looking north just after sunset at the twin Hozomeen Peaks which are a few miles away. When Jack Kerouac was the lookout there in 1954 — he was “packed in” on a foggy day and did not know what the views were like…….until he woke up in the middle of the night ( his bed faced north) and he thought for a moment that a giant bear was looking in his window…… which scared the heck out of him.
